I was playing around on the internet this morning since the kids were so quiet. It suddenly dawned on me that they had been unsupervised and quiet for too long so I went in to check and captured this little toot.

DSC_0262silly girl had pulled all their books from the “library” (as Augustine so fondly calls it) off the shelf.

DSC_0263Fortunately for us, she is a good helper at tidying up.

Last night, Shaun and I completed one of our personal favorite holiday traditions of going to see Handel’s Messiah. We were thankful to attend the event as, with shaun’s intense stage of completing his thesis, we were in much need of date night out and it never hurts to use that student discount of ours either! 😉

DSC_0258We also enjoyed the ability to reflect on the words of the performance and prepare our hearts for celebrating the coming of our Saviour at Christmas.

DSC_0261I hope you will find comfort and peace in these words as well:

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah [3x]

For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah [2x]

For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth [3x]
Hallelujah
The kingdom of this world
is become
The kingdom of our God
And of his Christ [2*]
And he shall reign for ever[4*]
King of Kings
for ever and ever
and Lord of Lords

Merry Christmas!
