Yesterday I shared about overcoming tempting situations of motherhood which cause you to be more inclined to become impatient or angry. Instead, try to plan out ways to make these situations easier to cope with a joyful heart. Dinner time tends to be a hard obstacle for most moms, but if you are anything like me, sunday mornings are a mad dash to make it out the door.
One alternative to fighting in the car on the way to church (totally been there done that) might involve trying to plan out ways to get ready the evening before. Consider laying out everyone’s Sunday outfits the evening before, clean your home the evening before, lay out ingredients to have a crockpot sunday lunch. OR try making breakfast the night before! A friend Margaret shared this wonderful breakfast recipe with me and I’d love for you to try it as well!
Since you make this in the evening and put it in the frig, then, while you are getting ready in the morning it is cooking and you can serve it when you are finished getting ready!
Baked French Toast:
Grease a 9×13 pan with butter, place 5 pieces of bread (or fill up the bottom of pan with slices) pour 1/2 of mixture over top ( mixture: 5 eggs, 1.5 cups of milk, 1/4 cup of maple syrup, cinnamon [dash of], vanilla extract) make another layer with 5 pieces of bread and pour remaining mixture over top. cover with foil and place in frig. In the morning bake at 325 for 30-45 minutes.
When finished, place some butter on top of the top layer of bread and coat with powdered sugar. so yummy!
