Today we move out of our flat on Orchard Street. It is a bittersweet occasion. Augustine learned to sit up, crawl, and stand (with furniture assistance) in this place. He ate his first solid foods in this living room. We are sad to leave, but excited to have an opportunity to live on campus, closer to where Shaun works (and looking forward to having a cheaper, bigger, ground-floor flat with a dishwasher and dryer!).
If you get a chance, please pray for us in the midst of this season of change. Our desire is to have a joyful heart and a flexible spirit. We are not able to move into our new place until October 1st, so we will be staying in a friend’s flat and taking a wee holiday until that time. God is to be praised, we have much to be thankful for. I just find my nasty sin nature creep out when I am not in the comforts of my own home with normalcy. Yet, God does not always allow certain comforts and familiarity to accompany his command for our obedience. So, we press on to honor Him today, this minute, this hour, this week, this month, this lifetime.
Thanks for reading and loving on us!
