We all love a tasty smoothie. It is a great way to eat fruits as well as clean out your fridge (throw in whatever fruits you have)! Have you tried these additions?

Basic Smoothie start: Add something frozen (fruit or ice or both) add a liquid/cream (yogurt, milk, juice) add fruit (bananas, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc!)+ blend= great!

-Add a spoonful of virgin coconut oil (here’s an article about the benefits of this great fat). Not only will it taste good, but the smoothie will also fill you up so that you won’t be hungry for food an hour later.

-Add a spoonful of honey- not necessary, but is sometimes a nice touch.

-Make a green smoothie (add spinach, kiwi, a banana, yogurt)

-Try a dessert smoothie: bananas, an all natural-peanut butter, plus a little ground chocolate (I like dark chocolate 70%) and some frozen yogurt.

-Instead of whipping cream, top with yogurt and a fresh cherry and serve in a wine glass for a pleasing asethetic and taste.
