2 Thessalonians 3:10 says, “For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”  This truth of Scripture is great insight for our finances.

I will be the first to admit that finances is an aspect of our lives I would love to be more ontop of…

Dave Ramsey states, “You can tell your money where to go or you can
wonder where it went!”

With living overseas and using the pound currency, Shaun and I have to be careful that we don’t spend like we are using the dollar. Many products are more expensive in Scotland simply because of the exchange rate. But more than this, God has entrusted this money to us in order to be good stewards. It isn’t ours, it’s HIS!

One helpful way to get a better handle on your money is to start a spreadsheet in google documents. This way you can keep track of your expenses as well as share the file with your husband, a financial counselor, or someone you trust for advice. Plus, by tracking your expenses online, you don’t have to bother with losing reciepts, it can be accessed whenever you sign into your gmail account.

Last fall I was given the opportunity to take a Personal Finance class. In order to avoid forgetting what I have learned. I am going to try to post some helpful information and books regarding finances. It is so easy to let this facet of our lives fall by the wayside resulting in negative consequences. Let us be Godly women and pursue holiness in every regard!

What has worked for you?
